App & Portal Terms of Use

These Terms of Use apply to all digital applications and online services provided by FibreTel Networks Ltd. (“FibreTel”, “we”, “our”, or “us”). This includes mobile apps, smart TV apps (e.g., Apple TV, Google TV, Amazon Fire TV, LG, Samsung), our web-based customer portal, and our web-based TV streaming platform.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using any of our apps or online services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you don’t agree with them, you may not use the app or portal—no hard feelings.

2. Licence to Use

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use our apps and portals for your personal use only. Don’t modify, reverse-engineer, redistribute, or try to turn FibreTel into your own startup. That’s rude.

3. Account Access

You may need an active FibreTel subscription and login credentials to use certain features. Keep your login info secure and don’t share it unless you want someone ordering a speed upgrade without asking.

4. User Conduct

Don’t use our apps or portals for anything illegal, harassing, infringing, or just generally sketchy. You know what we mean. Don’t break stuff or annoy people.

5. Data & Privacy

We collect and use certain types of information to provide, maintain, and improve our services. This includes:

  • Account info (name, address, email, phone number, etc.)
  • Login credentials and account activity
  • Device and app usage data (e.g., which features you use most)
  • Streaming and content activity (e.g., channels viewed, shows streamed)
  • Service preferences (like language or resolution settings)
  • App crash reports and diagnostics

We do not collect billing or payment information through our apps, and we do not offer in-app purchases. All billing-related information is securely handled through our web-based customer portal. For more detail, see our Privacy Policy.

6. Push Notifications & SMS

Some apps and the portal may send you notifications or SMS messages. These include account verification, technician arrival updates, payment reminders, or light promotional content (nothing spammy). By using the app or portal, you agree to receive these communications.

7. Platform Terms & Store Policies

When you download our apps from a third-party platform (Apple App Store, Google Play, Amazon Appstore, etc.), your use is also governed by that platform’s terms and developer policies. If those policies ever contradict ours, theirs win—because that’s how stores work.

All apps must comply with the applicable rules from Apple, Google, Samsung, LG, and Amazon, including device permissions, purchase behaviour, and content policies.

8. Intellectual Property

All content and technology in our apps and portals are owned by FibreTel or licensed to us. You can’t copy our stuff, not even that catchy loading spinner.

9. Availability

We strive for 99.99% uptime, but we can’t promise perfection. Apps may be down for maintenance, updates, or gremlins. We’ll try to keep it brief and painless.

10. Termination

We can revoke access if you violate these terms. You can also uninstall or stop using the service anytime—though we’ll miss you. Please pay any outstanding bills on your way out.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the province where your FibreTel service is installed. If you’re reading this on a fridge in another province, well, still our rules.
